The first Pope to change his name and adopt a throne name was Pope John II in 533. 2 cardinals named Peter changed their names to John because they knew that Saint John was the true successor of Christ . . . and not Saint Peter!
In reality, there have been 24 Popes named John. Pisan Pope John XXIII (1410–1415) has been deleted from the list of Popes . . . so that leaves 23. If we include Popes Joan/John, John Paul I, and John Paul II, that leaves a total of 27 Popes named John!
Babel means "confusion," and the Pope John numbering system is very confusing....Pope Joan VII was eliminated from the list, and there is no Pope John XX.

It is beyond belief that 24 Popes named themselves after Saint John the Beloved. On every page of the Apocalypse, Saint John exposes the Legs of Iron carrying Mystery Babylon, the Mother of Harlots and Abominations of the Earth (Apocalypse 17:5).

This is a veritable history of the Papacy using one of the most prominent names of the pontiffs from the very beginning of the Papacy.
The good fish versus the bad fish!
Saint John—the successor of the Messiah—was the quintessential numbers Saint. In the Apocalypse he gave us the number of the Beast (666), and the number 1260 appears frequently. In that case it clearly symbolizes years. Catholic monk Joachim of Fiore predicted that the Third Age of the Holy Spirit would begin in 1260.
Before he ascended to heaven, the Risen Messiah appeared to his disciples by the Sea of Galilee. The disciples were fishing all night and caught nothing, but at dawn the Messiah appeared on the shore and told them to cast the net on the right side. They did, and a great catch of fish ensued. Very mysteriously, they counted the number of fish, and it was exactly 153:
Simon Peter went up and dragged the net to land, full of large fish, one hundred and fifty-three; and although there were so many, the net was not broken (Saint John 21:11).
In one of his parables, the Messiah compared the end of the world scenario to a huge net full of fish:
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind: which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away. So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, and shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth (St. Matthew 13: 47-50).
For centuries, Bible scholars have wrestled with the hidden meaning of that number, but none have ever come up with a satisfactory answer. The number could also represent YEARS—153 years—until the beginning . . . or end of the 3 Days of Darkness!
The year 1870 is a good place to begin the countdown to the end of the world because that was the year of the fall of the Papal States and the liberation of Roma!
If we take that year as the starting point it ends at the year 2023. Cryptically, Saint John could have warned us beforehand when "time shall be no longer" (Apocalypse 10:6).
Without a doubt, all the Popes will be counted among the bad fish because they have perpetrated the LIE that the humble fisherman Simon Peter was a Roman pontiff!
When Christ appeared to his successor on the Isle of Patmos, he took him to Heaven where he had a panoramic view of the earth. Amazingly, it was not a GLOBE back then because GLOBES do not have CORNERS:
After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth to prevent any wind from blowing on the land or on the sea or on any tree (Apocalypse 7:1).
