Almighty
God (Elohim in Hebrew) said to Moses:
And
Elohim said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children
of Israel, the JEHOVAH Elohim of your fathers, the Elohim of Abraham,
the Elohim of Isaac, and the Elohim of Jacob, hath sent me unto you:
this is my name for ever, and this is
my memorial unto all generations.
(Exodus 3:15).
The
Prophet Jeremiah said:
Therefore,
behold, I will this once cause them to know, I will cause them to
know my hand and my might; and they shall
know that my name is JEHOVAH. (Jeremiah
16:21).
The
name of THE ETERNAL is not too sacred to be used by mere mortals here
on earth because that Name appears about 7,000 times in the Hebrew Old
Covenant.
When
Hebrew was first written, each letter represented a sound and a picture.
Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics and Chinese are examples of languages
where letters represent pictures. Hebrew is a democratic language
because the alphabet is only 22 letters and can be learned easily by
even little children. The entire Hebrew alphabet is found in Psalm 119
in the Holy Bible.
The Hebrew language
is read from right to left.
J |
= |
|
Jod
represents a giving extended hand. |
H |
= |
|
Heh
represents an enclosure like heaven or a window. |
V |
= |
|
Represents a nail. |
The entire plan
of redemption is found in that glorious Name, also called the Tetragrammaton,
from the Greek word for 4 letters:
|
Jod
represents the right hand of JEHOVAH. |
|
Heh
represents heaven—the throne of JEHOVAH. |
|
Vav symbolizes the nails that Satan
used to bruise or crucify the Messiah. |
|
Heh
is repeated at the end because JEHOVAH ascended back up to heaven
after bruising Satan's head by his glorious Resurrection and
ascension into heaven. |
JEHOVAH reached
his hand out of the windows of heaven, and Satan bruised it with a
nail:
And
I will put enmity between thee (Satan) and the woman, and between
thy seed and her seed; he shall
bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise
his heel. (Genesis 3:15).
And I will fasten
him as a nail in a sure place; and
he shall be for a glorious throne to his father's house. (Isaiah
22:23).
For
dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have enclosed me:
they pierced my hands and my feet.
(Psalm 22:16).
And one shall
say unto him, What are these wounds in thine
hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded
in the house of my friends.
(Zechariah 13:6).
While on earth,
JEHOVAH bore the name JOSHUA, which means
JEHOVAH is salvation....He saved the world by crucifixion or dying
on a tree.
After shedding
his BLOOD for the remission of sins,
the Messiah rose victoriously from the dead, and returned to heaven,
to reign until all his enemies will be put under his feet:
JEHOVAH
said to my JEHOVAH, Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies
your footstool. (Psalm 110:1).
For he must
reign, until he hath put all enemies under his feet. (I
Corinthians 15:25).
Joshua of Nazareth
is presently reigning in heaven as the fulfillment of Psalm
110:1:
But
he (Stephen), being full of the Holy Spirit, looked up steadfastly
into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Joshua standing on the
right hand of God, And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and
the Son of man standing on the right hand of God. (Acts
7:55-56).
Joshua of Nazareth
is the great high priest called Melchisadek . . . who ever lives to
save those who believe . . . and trust him for salvation:
Though he were
a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation
unto all them that obey him; Called of God an high priest after
the order of Melchisedech. (Hebrews 5:8-10).
The early Christians
had a saying that the lowly and humble Messiah was the bait that JEHOVAH
used to hook and land the sea monster Leviathan, Zeus or Satan:
In that day
JEHOVAH with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan
the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he
shall slay the dragon that is in the sea. (Isaiah
27:1).
The Second Coming
of the Messiah will be the final NAIL in Satan's coffin!!
